Jerome H. Fleisch, Ph.D.
Over 35 years of experience as a research
pharmacologist in academia, the National Institutes
of Health, and Eli Lilly & Company. Retired as a
Distinguished Research Fellow in 2002 after 28 years at Lilly.
Internationally recognized as an expert in drug development,
having led several multidisciplinary research teams
in the discovery of and the quest to advance approximately
12 new chemical entities into clinical trials. Well
published in peer reviewed journals, Dr. Fleisch holds
chemical and biological patents and has served on scientific
journal editorial review boards. He is a member of the
American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics,
the American Thoracic Society, the Inflammation Research
Association and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
He is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department
of Surgery, Indiana University School of Medicine. He
has a BS in Pharmacy from Columbia University, New York,
a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Georgetown University,
Washington, DC, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship
at Harvard Medical School.
